Metaphysical and Healing Properties of Moldavite

Moldavite is a stone that literally originates from the stars. It's a tektite which is a meteoric glass-like rock that is over 15 million years old.

Tektites are believed to have been formed from the impact of meteors on the earth. Moldavite is found in what was formerly known as Czechoslovakia in what is called a strewnfield.

Strewnfields are usually elliptical areas where the debris of two or more meteorites of the same type fell and can be several miles in length and width. It's believed that the original meteorite crater is in Germany and the debris flew into the Czech area and formed the strewnfield.

Moldavite is mostly known for its beautiful deep green color but can be found in yellow and brown. It's sold in shops and online in rough, polished and gem-cut form.
